A ceramic glazed bowl for the preparation of the Japanese Matcha tea.
How to prepare matcha: 1. Boil fresh, preferably soft water, 2. Let the water cool down to around 80 °C, 3. Place approx. 1 g matcha (2 bamboo scoops) in a matcha bowl, 4. Pour approx. 80 ml water (80 °C) over the matcha powder, 5. Whisk the tea with a matcha whisk for at least 15 seconds until it becomes frothy, 6. Traditionally matcha is drunk in three large sips.
