Preparing matcha

Step 1: Boil fresh, preferably soft water. Let the water cool to about 80°C: open the kettle and wait around 10 minutes.

Step 2: Put about 1 g of matcha (2 bamboo scoops or ½ teaspoon) into a matcha bowl. Pour in about 80 ml of water (80°C).

Step 3: Whisk the tea with the matcha whisk in a zigzag motion for at least 15 seconds until it becomes frothy. Avoid touching the bottom of the bowl.
