Fazenda Santa Cruz, purchased by Francisco in 2019, is a coffee plantation with a rich history dating back to 1932 when the Barreto family first began cultivating coffee there. Francisco, who has been deeply involved in the coffee industry from a young age, manages the plantation’s nursery and seedlings, while his sons—Denis, Denilson, and Wagner—oversee the crops, maintenance, and finances, respectively. The plantation spans over 900 hectares, with 650 dedicated to coffee cultivation. The farm emphasizes innovation, sustainability, and soil conservation, employing advanced harvesting techniques and utilizing rainwater reservoirs for irrigation. Additionally, the plantation supports a thriving ecosystem, preserving 180 hectares as natural reserves.
